The New York Energy $mart^SM Products Program is an initiative developed to increase consumer awareness and preference for energy-efficient products.

How Does it Work?

Partnerships are formed through the Program with retailers, manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and trade allies that promote, manufacture and sell these products in an effort to impact the end-user (consumer) marketplace.

The ENERGY STAR^® Products Program is a partnership providing real benefits to build showroom traffic and increase sales of ENERGY STAR products.

The program is funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and is available to residents of the New York Energy $mart^SM territory. The territory is defined as New York electricity distribution customers of the following utilities:

• Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation
• Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.
• New York State Electric Gas Corporation
• National Grid
• Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc.
• Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation
