Quickly Turn Technical Studies on Gas Savings Into Reality

The Multifamily Gas Efficiency Performance Program allows building owners who had previous technical studies performed to install custom or prescriptive gas-related measures before the heating season begins. The incentives are determined based on the estimated annual gas savings (Therms) of the proposed custom gas improvement from the technical study and differ based on the market sector definition of the building.

• Affordable Housing Building: ($2.50/therm) multiplied by Annual Gas Savings
• Market Rate Building: ($2.00/therm) multiplied by Annual Gas Savings

Applicant’s must have multifamily building(s) with more than 50% by gross heated square foot (ghsf) area dedicated to residential tenants. They must be a Con Edison gas distribution customer who are assessed the Monthly Rate Adjustment (MRA) applicable to all Con Edison firm gas customers under rate classifications SC 1, SC 2, SC 3, SC 13 and any corresponding SC 9 firm transportation customers. Cooking only customers are not eligible.
