How to Become a New York ENERGY STAR® Home Builder

Becoming a New York ENERGY STAR Homes Builder is one of the best steps you can take to grow your business and it's easy to become one. Follow the steps below:

Sign-on as a New York ENERGY STAR Labeled Builder

Step 1: Complete the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) online partnership agreement.

Step 2: Read the New York Addendum which outlines additional requirements to ensure the highest quality.

Step 3: Sign and mail in the Signature Form.

Step 4: Start earning incentives.

Consider using window fans, particularly in the evening when you can draw cooler air into the house.

Make sure floor & wall vents are not blocked by draperies, furniture, or rugs.
